Module 1. the Discovery of a not identified Corpse
The module is focused on the situation when the search ends with the discovery of a body. In such cases, the procedure involves immediate notification to the judicial authorities through the police. This step is essential to precisely establish the causes of death, through an autopsy examination which can clarify whether the death occurred from natural causes or not. In the event of death, communication with the family must be managed with extreme sensitivity, considering the enormous emotional impact that such news can have. In the event that the body found cannot be immediately identified, further investigations are carried out to establish the identity of the person, following specific protocols or using specific tool for the identification of unidentified bodies or at least to carry out a retrospective reconstruction of the life of a missing person.
